Import Alliance 2020 Atlanta Event Canceled

After several attempts to have the event by rescheduling it, the Import Alliance team finally pulled the plug on the Import Alliance Atlanta event for 2020. The numerous reschedules along with Georgia’s current status relating to the crisis ultimately doomed the event.

The event, originally slated for April 2020 was moved to July, and then again to September. As the date came closer and Georgia was looking to limit large in person events it became more likely the event would be canceled. Official word came down this week.

A statement posted on the Import Alliance site noted the difficult decision and the reason.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ImportAlliance and Atlanta Motor Speedway with guidance from the state of Georgia have made the difficult decision to cancel the ImportAlliance Atlanta Meet 2020. We are extremely disappointed to announce the cancellation of our national event, which has been a staple for the past 11 years.

The Import Alliance team did note that the rest of their events in other states would continue. However, the only remaining event noted on their site is their Fall meet in Bowling Green Kentucky.

The remaining IA Meet of the 2020 schedule will proceed as planned. The next event is the ImportAlliance Fall Meet 2020, October 24-25, at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, KY.

Credits will be issued if you purchased tickets or merchandise. It does not appear direct refunds are being offered. No word yet but we do expect Import Alliance to return in 2021, assuming conditions allow.

We’ve updated our running list of events in the Atlanta area that have been rescheduled, postponed or canceled due to COVID with this information.
