GT World Challenge America – Road Atlanta
SRO’s GT World Challenge America’s event heads into Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the very first time on June 12th-14th. One of the world’s premier racing series graces the iconic Road Atlanta at long last.

If you are unfamiliar with the series GT World Challenge America, it features manufacturer supported is a professional multi-driver championship featuring long-format endurance and strategy racing featuring GT3 cars you may be familiar with from Petit Le Mans or British GT Championship series.
Cars from manufacturers include Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Porsche Ford, Chevrolet, BMW, McLaren and more . Unlike the Prototype and Formula cars, SRO vehicles are often based on production cars and receive heavy manufacturer support. These purpose built race cars feature 500-600+ horsepower.
GT World Challenge American features both Pro, AM (Amateur) and Pro-AM (1 pro, 1 amateur) classes. In fact, SRO has often be a start for the stars of tomorrow at other events like the 24 Hours Of LeMans, F1, Cart/Indy Car, Petit Le Mans and other major races. Household names such as Mike Hakkinen, Jacques Villeneuve, and Alessandro Zanardi owe their early successes to coming up through SRO.
In recent years, SRO has invested heavily in the attendee experience at its events. SRO events have always featured great racing, but have not had the fan attendance. It’s really great to see how this is changing. With unparalleled pit and fan access, you get much of the experience of Petit without the crowds or hassle.
Undercard SRO Races
In addition to the main event, which is the GT World Challenge America race you will find the TC America, GT4 America, GT America and more happening throughout the weekend. So don’t just go for the main event Sunday, the entire weekend will be packed with racing.
Southrnfresh Automotive Showcase
Fans of motorsports and car shows will also appreciate that for 2026 SRO has teamed up Shift Atlanta friends for the Southrnfresh Automotive Showcase just before Sunday’s race. If you’ve never attended a Southrnfresh car show you are absolutely missing out, it’s one of Atlanta’s premiere events 13 years running. It’s also an amazing cross section of the entire Atlanta Car Scene. We’ve always been big fans of bringing car events and shows to the race track.
