Today Atlanta Motorsports Park announced a partnership which will make it the first race track in the US to install Level 3 EV supercharger stations. Capable of delivering up to 180kW of charging, enough for 125 miles of range in just 10 minutes, the supercharger are intended to help provide critical infrastructure to the growing trend of EV race cars. The chargers will be installed near the existing member garages.
The partnership is with Indigo Energy, which will be installing five Autel MaxiCharger DC Fast Level 3 Chargers at Atlanta Motorsports Park. The chargers offer a 400A output current, delivering a total charge in as little as 20 minutes for most EV vehicles.
