K1 Speed, the California based Go Kart and entertainment company, has been working on a new intown location. K1 bills itself as “the premier indoor go kart racing company worldwide”.
The new location, which is reported to be Atlanta’s upper west side. K1 themselves described the location as “Buckhead”, likely in an attempt to draw the corporate crowd. However, most Atlanta’s likely think of this location as strictly Westside.
The new K1 facility is expected to be 81,000 square feet at 1310 Seaboard Industrial.
K1 opened the original metro Atlanta location in 2013 in Duluth.
K1 has 86 locations worldwide and growing. The second Atlanta location brings Karting ITP. Other popular karting destinations include the 2 locations of Andretti Speed Lab, as well as Lanier Raceplex and Atlanta Motorsports Park.
